1961 - Norman seeks creative (and romantic) renewal over the Channel in Paris. He wasn't the first 'homme serieu' to carry a well-thumbed copy of Camus' L'Etranger about his person, but it undoubtedly had a profound effect on him. He rented a garret. Met a girl. And drank it all in. Perhaps a little too enthusiastically at times, but you couldn’t fault him for trying. Allez! Dansez! charts the end of l'affair in a very Nouvelle Vague style. The Maitre D' calls it all.
lyrics
Mesdames Messieurs, bon soir
S’il vous plait,
Venez dedans avec moi.
Enchante.
S’installez-vous la, ou comme vous voulez
Je vous en prie
Vous desirez quelquechose a boire?

Je te cherche de Pigalles a Montmartre
Je me souviens les etoiles brillantes

A sept heures moins le quart
Le train a quai onze, voie neuf
A viens de partir
Laisse-moi tomber, cherie

Vous desirez autrechose
Allez, dansez!
Je te cherche de Pigalles a Montmartre
Je me souviens les etoiles brillantes
A la prochaine messieurs ‘dames,
