1962 - By the summer of '62 you couldn't miss R'n'B if you’d tried. Norman was reticent at first, but the sheer joy to be found in Doo Wop, Gospel and what we now call Soul, became irresistible to him. Norman, if nothing else, was blessed with a vivid imagination. Something he put to good use in this number as he comforts a promising actress (it says here) in a terrible play as the first reviews come in....
lyrics
Anything and everything I care about
I find in you
and only you
The earth and sky, the sun and moon
My Twist & Shout
You’re the one
The only one
I know you’d never let me down
With the notices in
I don’t care what they say
Darling, it’s starting to show.....
I wouldn’t change a thing about you
I wouldn’t change a thing about you
And anyone who’s ever loved would feel the same
That much is true
Forever blue
You and I - it’s do or die,
a burning flame
I’ll find a way
The only way
I know you’d never let me down
With the notices in,
I don’t care what they say
Darling, there’s one thing I know.....
I wouldn’t change a thing about you
I wouldn’t change a thing about you
The piercing cry of siren voices
From ne’er do wells and their Hobson’s Choices
The die is cast, what more can I do?
Baby, I think the world of you.......
I wouldn’t change a thing about you
I wouldn’t change a thing about you
I don’t care what they say
I think the world of you.
